Lobolair in Midwest, USA
We are a small show kennel in the central part of Nebraska, USA. Our first introduction to AKC registered dogs was with rough
collies. We had them while our kids were growing up and they are wonderful kid's dogs. With the loss of our 2 original collies and
one of their young puppies that we had kept we never got back into breeding them again. After a few years we knew we wanted
another dog and went to several dog shows and finally decided on the siberian huskie. They are one of the most beautiful and striking
dogs that we know. We originally weren’t interested in showing but we got hooked on them after our first one. Our first one was a
wooly and not a show dog but the most loving, funny and beautiful dog and we knew we wanted another one to keep him company.
That was the beginning of Lobolair Siberians. We have had siberians since 1993 and have had up to 15 and now have 11 of various
ages and colors at our home. We have 3 certified pet therapy dogs and if we had the time would like to spend more time doing this.
We have had various other dogs along the way but our siberian huskies have been our main focus. We had a Great Pyrennes, Bear,
that had kept us all secure until last fall when he passed away, We had an Alaskan Malamute, Cherry, that was such a momma's girl
and we have 2 Australian Shepherds that run around with the rest of the pack. All of our dogs that we use for breeding and show are
checked for hip dysplasia and certified with OFA and their eyes are checked for any abnormalities with a certified ophtamologist and
registered with CERF. We strive with any breeding for that better show dog. We breed very infrequently. Siberian huskies are very
loving and also very independent and anyone that is interested in raising them must be prepared to give them plenty of exercise, a
well fenced in yard or kennel and know that some are very good escape artists. Our kennel is on the outskirts of a small town and we
have 1 1/2 acres of grass land totally fenced in for our siberian huskies to run. Our kennels have extra large pens and they are
completely covered and in the winter totally enclosed. We are proud of all of our pack and hope you enjoy your visit.
